BAKING WITH LOZ TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DEPOSIT AND BOOKING POLICY

We take a 20% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit for all occasion cake orders and a 50% non-refundable deposit for cupcake, cookie, dessert and tower orders. Once your deposit has been processed and received, your order is secure. If you have ordered with us but your deposit has not been paid, we use a first-in first-served policy and your order is at risk of being overridden if someone else pays their deposit before you. We have the right to cancel your pending booking if your deposit is not paid. NO DEPOSIT = NO ORDER!

FINAL PAYMENT

For occasion cakes, final payment must be made no less than 72 hours prior to pickup/delivery.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All deposits are non-refundable. If you choose to cancel your order, your deposit will be forfeited. This is due to bookings, pre purchasing/ordering of your goods and administration fees. You are welcome to change your booking date, however this is subject to availability and there is no guarantee we will be able to accommodate your new date. For whatever reason we need to cancel your booking (illness/injury/family situations out of our control etc.) your deposit and any payment made will be fully refunded.

ALLERGIES

Our standard lines contain common allergens such as soy, dairy, nut and egg products. When ordering an allergy friendly product with us, we take precautionary action to ensure your cake is free from your specified allergen; however due to the use of the same processing equipment and production space, we cannot guarantee that cross contamination in our preparation area will not occur and there may be traces present. It is your responsibility and obligation to inform your consumers of allergen risks and Baking With Loz will not be liable for any reaction or consequence upon consumption.

NON EDIBLE ITEMS

Non-edible items (such as cake toppers, cardboard cut outs, food wrappers, wooden/plastic dowels, flowers etc.) may be used as decorations on or structures within your cake. You will be informed of these upon pick-up/delivery. It is your responsibility and obligation to ensure that any non-edible items are removed prior to consumption. Baking With Loz will not be held liable for consumption of non-edible items outside our premises.

DELIVERY/PICK UP

Products are to be collected from our premises at a pre-arranged time and date as organised between ourselves and the customer. We recommend that you transport your cake on the floor (preferably front seat) of your passenger vehicle OR in the boot of a SUV. If able, please bring someone with you to pick up your cake and get them to hold the cake in the car on their lap. NEVER transport cakes on the front or back seat of the car. Be sure to drive slowly and take it easy around the corners. Cool air-conditioning is required at all times when transporting our products. Please be advised that Baking With Loz is not liable for any damage to your products outside of our premises once you take possession. Cakes MUST be collected within 1 hour of your agreed pick up time (unless previously discussed with us on the day). Failure to do so will result in forfeit of your deposit and products (WE ARE STRICT ON THIS – IF YOU ARE RUNNING LATE OR HELD UP, SEND US A MESSAGE!!).

Delivery is an optional inclusion on your order and will incur a fee as specified in your quote. Products will not be delivered until full payment has been received. While we take extreme care with our deliveries, unforseen events can present themselves (inclduding traffic/accidents, required travel down dirt/gravel roads, venues with uphill/uneven driveways etc.) which may cause damage to your product(s). We do not take responsibility for these impacts and delivery of your product(s) is at risk of the purchaser.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT

You are welcome to hire from our selection of cake stands and cupcake towers. Hire fee per unit is set at $20 with a refundable bond of $50. Bond is only refundable upon return of the cake stand/cupcake tower within 5 business days of your event (unless otherwise discussed) in clean, good condition. Baking With Loz reserves the right to refuse the reimbursement of your bond if we see any damage upon return or it is retuned in poor condition. Hire is dependent on availability.

It is strongly directed that customers familiarise themselves with our FAQ's and T&C's prior to making an enquiry with us. Upon requesting a quote, we reserve the right to assume you have familiarised yourself with our question and disclaimer pages and it is noted that these terms are automatically agreed to upon payment of a deposit.
